It’s no secret that we’re fans of the groundbreaking feminist animal rights work of Carol J. Adams. That’s why we are thrilled to be included in the upcoming book, Defiant Daughters: 21 Women on Art, Activism, Animals, and The Sexual Politics of Meat. The book includes a contribution from Connect the Dots co-founder Ashley Maier. Ashley and her co-contributors discuss the impact of Adams’ The Sexual Politics of Meat: A Feminist-Vegetarian Critical Theory on their lives and work. Ashley’s piece centers around her 10 plus years trying to connect the dots while working in the movements to end sexual assault and domestic violence.
This post is just the beginning! Learn more by visiting and liking the Defiant Daughters Facebook page, pre-order the book, and check back here for much more about the book and related events!
